Archimedes is considered to be the greatest mathematician of antiquity and one of the greatest of all time, and gave a remarkably accurate approximation of pi. An inventor, physicist, astronomer and engineer he was born in Sicily in 287 B.C. Therefore, the octagonal Vicenza Design, Archimedes, is named after this famous man. Compliment your bathroom, boudoir, laundry room, kitchen or bedroom with the contemporary octagonal, large hook. At 2.5 inches in diameter and a projection of 3.5 inches you will be able to toss a towel, robe, apron or other clothing comfortably. Mounting hardware is included. 100 Per cent lead free pewter.
